Repairs to a casement window
Any rotten sections of the framework, can be cut out and replaced incorporating scarf joints using the same species of existing timbers (where possible) or by using a two part resin repair system (see pictures below).
Existing sashes can be removed, broken glass replaced, joints repaired, opening sashes planed to fit into frames correctly, hinges can be cleaned or replaced. existing locks re-aligned or new security locks fitted.
Replica - part or full - opening sash replacement.
Cills, part or fully replaced in hard wood.
Draught-Proofing
The same draught-proofing materials that are used for perimeter sealing sash windows can equally be used for casement windows by fitting weatherfin pile into the frame or the opening sash, staff beads with weatherfin brushes can be fitted around the inner frame depending on the design of the window.
