Our Easy Sash Removal System
As well as our traditional fitting of sash windows, we offer a sash removal system which allows easy removal and re-fitting of sashes for painting and general maintenance to be carried out from the inside without the need for expensive access equipment.
Sash Removal System
Brass screws are used to attach 1 of the verticle staff beads for easy removal while the others are pinned as normal. A quick release cam is fitted into the sides of the top and bottom sashes allowing cords to be engaged and disengaged in seconds.
Sash Removal Method
Remove the staff bead by unscrewing the brass screws, the lower sash can now be lifted out, the cords can now be disengaged from the quick release cams, to remove the top sash, the parting beads can be eased out and the top sash can be released in the same way.
Reverse instructions to re-fit.
This system can only be used where sash windows are fitted with sash cords.
